Hello everyone, I’m going to tell you a bit about myself. I’m the daughter of a retired public servant and a school bus driver, and the eldest of two children. I’m currently in grade 10 at the Mgr.-Marcel-Francois-Richard high school in New Brunswick. I’m currently Miss Teenage Maritime 2017 and I am honored to be representing such great provinces as New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Je suis aussi complètement bilingue depuis l’âge de 3 ans car mon père est un anglophone et ma mère est une francophone acadienne. Alors, moi aussi je suis une acadienne. 🙂 Et aussi, je fréquante l’école francophone depuis la première année.
Growing up with a mother diagnosed with Osteoarthritis at an early age, I’ve helped her raised funds for the Arthritis Society of New Brunswick, her charity of choice. I now volunteer as an assistant to the Organizers of the Miss Teen Summer Pageant and the Miss Teen Winter Pageant where I was one of the Mistresses of Ceremony. It was so much fun and it was a great experience. Both pageants donate all profits to, what has now become, my own charity of choice.
The last two years, I’ve attended the Atlantic Canada’s Model & Actor Conference in Dieppe, N.B. so I could get to know the world of modeling and acting and I absolutely loved the experiences. I now go to photo-shoots and fashion shows which I enjoy doing and perhaps some new opportunity is just around the corner.
I’ve also been in a few Pageants in the past 2 and a half years, I was fortunate enough to hold the following titles: Miss Teen Summer 2015, Miss Teen New Brunswick 2016 and now Miss Teenage Maritime 2017. I’ve also won some awards such as, Miss Teen Evening Gown, Miss Teen Talent, Miss Teen Friendship (twice) and Miss Teen Fashion. So as you can see, I do enjoy pageantry and the opportunities it offers.
My future goals are to become a lawyer but I also still want to do modeling and acting so what I decided to do was to go to University to get my law degree but as a side job, pursue photo-shoots, fashions shows, theater etc. That way I would be able to do both. After all, it will take me about 8 years to finish University and I will need something outside of school to enjoy. Here are a couple of awards I’ve won doing modeling & acting so I don’t want to give it up completely. Perhaps I can become a lawyer in the entertainment industry, have the best of both worlds. 🙂
I’m am looking forward to meetings all the delegates when we get to Toronto in August so I can make new lifetime friendships and experience my childhood dream of being in a National Pageant. Hope you come and enjoy it with me.
